What is this series?
“I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.” Jude, brother of Jesus, and early church leader does not waste time or words. He is concerned about Christians being swayed by false but attractive false teachings. We will spend the next month walking verse by verse through the warnings, exhortations, and timeless reminders that Jude gave the church.
Advent Schedule

12/24/25 Jude 24 – 25 – praise the center of our faith
Why this series now?
An article earlier this year showed that retail spending in December 2024 was the highest ever recorded — over $600 billion, or around $1,766 per person. We are in it. Some people call the new reality where the holidays start earlier and grab our attention for the last three months of the year as “Hallowthanksmas.”
We as Christians are not supposed to just go along with the world around us and let the culture dictate our “Hallowthanksmans.” We are called to be “in the world but not of the world.” So, in a world that has gotten louder, more grabby, and filled with more voices, how do we celebrate and focus on Jesus in the busy Advent season?
We think Jude can help. Jude was speaking to a culture that was battling many competing stories of truth and pictures of the good life. He wanted his people to hold onto the faith once delivered. In this Advent season, we want to do the same. We want to contend for and hold onto what matters most – Jesus and His finished work, the Gospel.
