Advent Guide 2025

Morning Prayer
Father, I pray that by the power of the Spirit, I would enter this day as your Son entered the world, full of love, grace, peace, and hope.

Practice
One simple practice to embrace during advent is to be still and know that God is who he says he is.

Jesus miraculous birth is a reminder that God is good for his word. He keeps his promises, and all his promises find their yes in Jesus. During advent we will take a set apart time each day to simply be silent, and then receive and believe a promise of God.

Set a time each day to do this. Put all devices away. Set a timer (1 min, 5 min, 10min, etc.) and be silent before God (if you have young kids, embrace that this will not look as neat as you might imagine or make it a fun game). Then simply read the promise of God for the day. If you want you can respond by saying, “yes and amenas a reminder that we can count one these promises because of Jesus.
