Advent offering

As a church family, we are blessed to be a blessing. This advent season, we get to continue a Redemption Church tradition of giving over and above our regular tithes and offerings.

This year, our focus is giving to ministries with a pro-life focus for the unborn and the marginalized in our community. Considering the heartbreaking passing of Proposition 139, we want to come alongside people and organizations that bring a pro-life ethic to all of life.

Who we are giving to

Choices Pregnancy Center

Choices has been serving young women, men, and babies since 1983. Many of the young women and men they serve are at a crossroads in their lives due to an unplanned pregnancy. They face one of the most important decisions about life at a time when they feel theirs is unraveling.

GOAL – Choices hopes to purchase a portable ultrasound machine to help them continue to provide pro-life care for people facing unplanned pregnancy. The goal is to raise $20,000 to cover the cost of one machine.

Cultivate Coffee

Cultivate Coffee is a coffee shop in Sunnyslope. Cultivate offers work to the vulnerable youth of Sunnyslope, whether it is those who have aged out of foster care, the homeless, or refugee youth. Cultivate runs an entrepreneurial cohort for these youth where they learn job and life skills, get paid for their time, and gain access to a community of people who care and a network of potential job opportunities for their future.

GOAL – Cultivate provides year-long cohorts for youth learning work skills. Each participant costs $1000. The goal is to raise $10,000 to raise enough to have ten young people go through a work program cohort next year.

Total Goal
