Christmas at North Mountain

We are excited to have our first Advent + Christmas season as a church family. Here are 4 things you should be aware of as you prepare for this Christmas season.

WORSHIP WITH OUR CHURCH THIS SEASON

We will spend this Advent season (end of November through December) walking the birth story of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew. Advent simply means arrival. As a church, we want to worship Jesus as we enter the story of His first arrival here on earth. Our services will be simple and combine our normal Bible teaching along with traditional advent elements. Join us at 9 or 10:45 over the next 4 Sundays.

INVITE FRIENDS TO CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas Eve is both a great family moment for us a church and it’s an incredible time to invite others to church. People tend to be open to invites to church around Christmas time. Take some time praying about who you might invite to Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve Services | 4 + 5:30pm

Kids Ministry available up through 2nd grade

SERVE ALONGSIDE OTHER REDEMPTION FAMILIES

Redemption Alhambra is hosting an Affordable Christmas for lower-income families in their community. North Mountain, along with a few other Redemption congregations are partnering with them to bless their community.

There are 2 key ways we can serve: 1. Serve at the Affordable Christmas event (Dec 11) 2. Give to make this affordable Christmas possible. You can find all the details you need HERE.

GIVE WITH YOUR CHURCH FAMILY

Finally, as a church family, we are blessed to be a blessing. This advent season, we want to start a tradition of giving as a church in a special one-time way – Advent Offering. This year, we will give to bless some of our partners in the neighborhood.

As a new church to this neighborhood, we acknowledge that others have been working to be a blessing long before we arrived. We want to spend our first Christmas here blessing those faithful partners in ministry. 100% of this advent offering will be given to these two organizations.

House of Refuge – Sunnyslope

Habitat for Humanity – Sunnyslope

There is a lot to be excited about this Advent Season! I hope you can join us for these special moments together.

God Bless,
