Father abraham

Series Overview: Father Abraham

WHAT IS THIS SERIES?

At the end of April, we open the first book in the Bible to dive into an integral story of our faith. Abraham can be called the ‘Father of our Faith’ as our faith in Jesus is a result of the promises God made to Him. However, the main character of this story in Genesis is not actually Abraham; it is the God of creation. This story reveals much about the God we worship. His abundant grace. How He keeps promises. His relationality. His patience. The goal is for us to walk more closely with the same God who loved Abraham.

WHY THIS SERIES NOW?

Easter is the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus, which gives us the confidence that we truly can know God and be free from sin. On the other side of Easter, we want to focus on what a relationship with this God looks like. If it is true that God never changes, then we can look back at this old and true story and take notes on how we can walk with our loving God. Looking at how God treated, walked with, and loved Abraham will lead us, especially with our renewed confidence on the other side of Easter.
